For Terry, music has always been a family affair. Although he played the drums as a youngster in several school bands, he encountered his true love after picking up the guitar at the age of 14. His initial interests entailed rock n’ roll and the blues, but as the son of an accomplished bluegrass musician, he inherently felt a strong connection with acoustic music. His father introduced him to the world of bluegrass while his sister (secretly) taught him the chords to Rocky Mountain Way and his mother taught him how to sing.
“It’s my goal to try to promote the history and sound of bluegrass music as much as I can,” he said. “I know what a strong love my Dad had for it, and I think that we’re carrying on the tradition in our own way.”
